Have you ever considered becoming a labor/birth doula?
Do you love supporting and comforting pregnant people and helping them to feel cared for and nurtured? Do you have a genuine spirit and want to walk with families as they experience pregnancy and childbirth?
Maybe a career as a doula is for you! As a trained labor and birth doula, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you want. You have the ability to take your business with you wherever you go (or wherever the military sends you).
You’ll walk away from this training not only prepared to confidently and expertly support families through their birth journey right from the start, but you’ll also be trained on how to start your business and thrive as your own boss.

I talk to a lot of people about my work as a doula. The most frequent response I get is
”Oh, I couldn’t handle giving birth without an epidural, I’m not that strong! I love what you do though!”
I’m always a bit confused by this response. First, because doulas and epidurals are never mutually exclusive. Second, because as a doula I never have an opinion on your birth choices or your birth outcome.
You call the shots at your birth and I support you and your family, no matter what!
I have supported clients through unmedicated births, augmented births, inductions, epidurals, and more. The beauty of my support is that everyone, no matter what their birth plan is (or isn’t), benefits from the care and support of a doula.
You and your partner and family do not stop needing support at your birth just because you decided to go any kind of way during your birth.
I do not abandon you. I stay with you every step of the way. You can count on me to encourage you, be with you, and provide my non -judgmental support no matter what.
That’s what I do. From an unmedicated birth through epidurals and all the way to planned and unplanned Caesarian births, my value does not stop at any point. If you’re curious how my support can benefit your unique plans, give me a call! I would love to chat about it—no obligation whatsoever.
Erin love to write about topics that families are interested in, to help spread awareness throughout the community, and to help her clients and future clients better understand her services. She loves chatting with people about her blogs, so feel free to contact her!
